Food is the key to survival. Human beings have four basic needs that they require to survive – clothing, shelter, clean water, and edible food. Although all four requirements are essential together, we cannot survive (the topmost integral part of our life to stay). Even if we have a huge house and closets full of clothes, we cannot live without proper food and water. While we enjoy the luxury of eating delicious food every day, many people have to struggle to find a morsel of food, day in and day out.
At ISKCON, we feel for these people. We understand the struggle that they might be going through. Therefore, with our FOOD FOR LIFE program, we help the hungry and provide as many as possible with nutritious, edible food. Thus, we are introducing “MEGA KITCHEN”. The kitchen can cook and serve food for more than 1 lac people at a time. It has a 25000 sq ft space, enough to ensure no needy sleep with an empty stomach.
To make sure that we serve as many people as possible every day, we follow the following methods. Through these methods, we strive to feed as many hungry and needy people as we can each day: Regular distribution outside every centre, Disaster Relief programs, Food distribution inside the centres for visitors.
DONATE NOWAt ISKCON, we are dedicated to putting food in front of every hungry person, but we cannot do it without your support. The Vedas teach that Anna Dana Maha Dana—donating food is the greatest charity. Even the smallest donation from you will make a significant impact, helping us reach another person in need. Your contribution allows us to extend our efforts, providing nourishment to those who are struggling and ensuring that no one is left hungry.
By donating today, you not only help us fight hunger, but you also gain virtue and blessings. Every act of giving strengthens our mission and brings us closer to making the world a better place. Join us in this noble cause, and together we can bring hope and sustenance to those who need it most.
