About Mega Kitchen

ISKCON Mega Kitchen is located with all its assets and inventory of vessels at ISKCON Govardhan Eco Village, Maharashtra , India

Why there is a need?

Over a period of development of community since last more than 50 years across the globe. Gatherings at Yatras , Temple inaugurations, festivals, National events, Kumbh Mela & many more such occasions have turned out to be more than 10000 to 30000+ people for day. To solve this great need we have come up with a infrastructure setup which can facilitate this community on a larger scale.

Addressing Food Security Through Prasadam

By serving wholesome meals daily, the Mega Kitchen addresses food insecurity while promoting values of compassion and community

Global Food Insecurity

Millions suffer from hunger and malnutrition worldwide, with vulnerable populations needing reliable access to nutritious food daily.

Prasadam's Unique Role

Offering sanctified vegetarian meals, prasadam serves both spiritual upliftment and physical nourishment, fostering goodwill.

Community Empowerment

Providing prasadam encourages community bonding and supports holistic wellbeing beyond just hunger alleviation.

What we did ?

Analysis & brainstorming at the grassroot levels with the team of educated and experienced professionals were carried out. Then we noted down requirements with respect to different aspects like vessels for cooking , serving tubs, Crane system for lifting heavy vessels, Recipe making & scaling for larger numbers , food safety and fire safety protocols , need for volunteers for different occasions and climatic conditions.

With engineering technology we designed Crane system to lift heavy vessels and Track system to transfer them to serving area. Traditional choolas designed to nourish people with traditional tastes , at the same time to serve 10,000+ people at one go. Bigger kadai designed for frying items. SS vessels with capacity to feed 2500+ designed & procured. By this we met the fssai health standards.

Volunteers team of 150+ matajis for making special parathas and tava chapatis.

Chapati Machine with output of 5000+ chapatis per hour could be setup.

Pulverisor for Ginger & Tomato paste with 3 tonnes capacity per day.

Vegetable cutting machines for cutting vegetables for more than 4-5 tonnes per day.
